The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion:

Sorrow & depressing atmosphere music that course through your speakers

Immediately after the listener presses the play button, one is welcomed to the intro track, Sonsuza Kadar Lanetl. This welcomes the listener to their last moment of existence of life and a passage of the dark (droning) atmosphere riffs and sorrowful keys.

The second track, Işığın Ardında, follows the introductory piece and serves as a continuation of the musical journey. It commences with a blend of clean guitar riffs and keyboard melodies, which are soon interrupted by intense, unholy screams that envelop the listener. This track, along with the subsequent seven, immerses the audience in a profoundly sorrowful funeral doom atmosphere, drawing inspiration from early Burzum, Nortt, Shining (Sweden), and other influential artists, all contributing to a dark and sombre soundscape.

Once liberated, the mind is free to explore vivid imagery. This exploration is rooted in the observation of nature’s dormant beauty and a musical composition that weaves together ritualistic elements, creating an intense, darkly immersive, and dramatic ambiance reminiscent of a cinematic horror film score. The music encompasses various compositions and moods, including sorrowful atmospheres, eerie sound effects, sinister synthesizers, spoken audio clips, and arcane rites, among other diverse elements.

As the oppressive and melancholic essence of extreme music resonates through the speakers and penetrates the soul, Işığın Ardında introduces moments of slow, clean melodies interspersed with ambient synth passages, heavy droning, and aggressive yet melodic segments. The vocal arrangements feature a blend of ethereal female voices and dark, ritualistic male chants, accompanied by spoken word segments. The powerful, thunderous drumming and chilling vocals evoke a spine-tingling sensation. This work presents a fruit of art, of embodiment of raw and depressive black metal, enveloped in a haunting shroud of sorrow, showcasing exceptional lyrical devilmanship.

The overall arrangement of the music and instrumentation is of the highest quality, offering listeners an unfiltered experience of pure depressive black metal that is capable of consuming one’s very essence.

For those who appreciate black metal that is melancholic, cold, and raw, this album is highly recommended.

The album concludes with the final track, Son Mektup. We want to give a shoutout to Cursed Eternity for letting us review their album Işığın Ardınd. Now, we are going to conclude the review by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.

The Last Three Sins

Let’s discuss the last three sins of Cursed Eternity and their album, Işığın Ardınd

The Fifth Sin, The Memorabilia:

For me, the music envelops the listener in an authentic atmosphere of profound melancholy, characterized by the essence of depressive black metal. Simultaneously, it offers a genuine journey into the depths of darkness, allowing for an immersive experience that resonates deeply. This auditory experience saturates the senses with an unfiltered expression of despair, while simultaneously guiding the audience through a true exploration of shadowy themes

The Sixth Sin, The Artwork:

The artwork is cold and dark, very similar to “Thy Light” artwork (so does the band logo).

The Seventh Sin, Disrelish:

Nothing to disrelish within the musical spectrum of Cursed Eternity and their album, Işığın Ardınd. Therefore, this concludes Eternal Crypt and their album, Stages Of Grief review.
