Skullthrone – XIII Years Of Chaos Review: A Polish/UK Black Metal band. August 21st, 2020, the band released their second studio album, XIII Years Of Chaos, which includes seven dark and apocalyptic tracks that would gratify Infernal War & Impaled Nazarene fans. The album was released through UKEM Records.

Skullthrone – XIII Years Of Chaos Review opens and discusses the FIRST SIN: THE STRINGS/KEYS. Which consists of powerful, raw, brutal, and progressive fast shredding of the guitar.

Let’s talk about the SECOND SIN: THE VOCALS, which involves a policy of unclean singing

Moving on to the THIRD SIN: THE PERCUSSIONS, which delves into the vast world of severe battering of the drums, with plenty of blast beats

In our following discussion about the band’s musical work, we will focus on the FOURTH SIN, the overall DISCUSSION of the album Immediately after the listener presses that play button, one is welcomed to the opening track, INTRO, which welcomes the listener with an instrumental opening of the sound of guitar riffage drenched in feedback and distortion and ferocious drum work –following suit with the second track THE DEVIL AND I and the remaining five pieces.

As one continues their dark and apocalyptic journey, one will find that SKULLTHRONE once hailed from the land of their brethren act BEHEMOTHehemoth and a few others to name, are now relocated to the UK. SKULLTHRONE delivers and provides the listener’s ears with a black metal that’s ferocious, brutal, raw, chaotic, grim, frostbitten, and aggressive from the moment of pressing that play button.

XIII YEARS OF CHAOS is also played in the vein of acts such as; INFERNAL WAR and IMPALED NAZARENE … while creating this dark and apocalyptic atmosphere/sound of their own, which consists of various compositions such as subtle melodic elements, keeping the tempo at a steady/mid-pace attitude, a tint of -early CRADLE OF FILTH (especially in some the vocal parts), and punk/hardcore progressions.

At the same time, excellent devilmanship utilizes guitar artistry of brutal and progressive shredding/riffage & tremolo pickings, severed-battering of the drums, with plenty of blast beats and monstrous vocals.

XIII YEARS OF CHAOS will not dull the listener with boredom, just providing the listener’s ears with pure extreme-headbanging music with the volume cranked to 666.

Again, this is for you if you’re a fan of evil and dark-apocalyptic black metal. XIII YEARS OF CHAOS is pure, solid, extreme/outrageously evil, and dark music well-executed from the moment of play … music that will eradicate the listener’s ears and soul with its acceptable dose of a direct attitude of being ferocious, loud, and brutal -not to be missed.

I wanted to share our thoughts and MEMORABILIA on the FIFTH SIN. The aggressive and brutal sound of the music, combined with the atmosphere, made for a powerful experience.

Let’s discuss the ARTWORK of the SIXTH SIN. Straightforward artwork takes the listener off the focus of the painting and more on the music.

Finally, the review will close with the last sin, the SEVENTH SIN, the DISRELISH, with nothing to disrelish within the musical world of SKULLTHRONE. This concludes the Skullthrone – XIII Years Of Chaos Review.
