The First Three Sins of Echoes of the Storm
Let’s start by discussing the first three sins of Wicked Leather and their double single, Echoes of the Storm
The First Sin, The Strings/Keys: Unleashes heavy and aggressive riffs, haunting melodies, and intricate solos that magnetize the ears, creating a captivating listening experience. The bass riffs provide a solid foundation, complementing the guitar and adding a layer of heaviness, darkest and brooding feel of their music. The Second Sin, The Vocals: Ranging from hauntingly melodic to fiercely raw, perfectly aligning with the band’s intense and shadowy sound, perfectly complementing the band’s dark and intense sound. The Third Sin—The Percussions: The drum work provides a solid backbone for the band’s sound and music. With powerful and precise drumming, drives the intensity of their music forward.
The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion:
Taking you off the rails and galloping through a sea of madness with relentless momentum.
When the listener hits that play button, they are immediately met with the explosive intensity of the first two tracks, Night Hunter and Lightning Strike. Both songs unleash a torrent of unyielding energy, offering pure, unadulterated heavy metal without any fluff—just sheer power. It pulls the listener deep into a shadowy world filled with personal themes.
Wicked Leather delves into dark, personal themes. On the track Night Hunter, Yami draws from her experience surviving a toxic relationship with a narcissist, vividly capturing the emotional scars left in its wake. Lightning Strike, explores themes of loss and the obsession with resurrection, spiralling into chaos as the story unfolds. Despite these brooding narratives, the band’s sound remains untamed, taking you off the rails and galloping through a sea of madness with relentless momentum.
With just two tracks clocking in at over eight minutes, Wicked Leather immerses listeners in a soundscape that is dark, gritty, heavy, and undeniably powerful, infused with classic heavy metal elements reimagined for a modern audience.
Wicked Leather showcases the listener’s ears and soul with a fruit of art composition within their music and instrumentals, which is all delivered by a tight and solid fruit of art devilmanship. Within this devilmanship, the guitar work unleashes aggressive riffs, haunting melodies, and intricate solos that magnetize the ear. Meanwhile, the drums lay down a formidable foundation, their precise and powerful beats driving the intensity of the music forward. Yami Martins’ vocals add another layer of depth, ranging from hauntingly melodic to fiercely raw, perfectly aligning with the band’s intense and shadowy sound. Additionally, the composition features an anthemic backing chorus reminiscent of Accept, enhancing the overall experience.
Throughout Wicked Leather, each track (again) showcases a fruit of art composition within their music and instrumentals, but at times there is a
diverse array of compositions within the arrangements, such as the final moments of Night Hunter, where the music shifts dramatically from a fierce and powerful intensity to a hauntingly melodic atmosphere. Yami‘s seems to extract the very life-force out of the song, culminating in a rapid-fire composition that leaves a lasting impression.
Wicked Leather and their two songs, plunges the listener’s soul in the essence of classic heavy metal, reminiscent of the legendary sound of Accept and few others to name. Echoes Of The Storm is a relentless barrage of energy and chaos, absent of any filler, delivering pure and unadulterated power that resonates deeply with fans of the genre.
As double single comes to an end, and fades away into the sea of madness, we would to thank to Qabar PR for letting us review Wicked Leather and their double single, Echoes of the Storm. We will wrap it up by discussing the final three sins and concluding the review.
The Last Three Sins
Let’s discuss the last three sins of Wicked Leather and their double single, Echoes of the Storm
The Fifth Sin, The Memorabilia:
Wicked Leather resonated deeply with me, offering not just heavy metal but a nostalgic return to the roots of the genre. Meanwhile, Echoes Of The Storm will envelop the listener in an electric-storm of gritty, intense atmosphere and heavy (banger) energetic music, right from the first note, creating a powerful sonic experience. Additionally, the vocals in Yami are delightfully dark and menacing, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the music. At the same time, as I relish Wicked Leather‘s sound and music, but it’s Yami‘s vocals that seem to possess a dark tone and a gritty feel akin to that of Udo Dirkschneide.
The Sixth Sin, The Artwork:
Wicked Leather‘s artwork is as intense and evocative as their music, showcasing a stormy, ominous landscape that perfectly captures the mood of their music.
The Seventh Sin, Disrelish:
Nothing to disrelish within the musical spectrum of Wicked Leather and their double single, Echoes of the Storm. Therefore, this concludes Wicked Leather and their double single, Echoes of the Storm review.
