Apokatastasis – The Consecratory Secretion Review opens and discusses the FIRST SIN: THE STRINGS/KEYS, which comprise technical/complex, melodic/groove-laden black death riffage and pulsing bass riffs.

Let’s talk about the SECOND SIN: THE VOCALS, which involves nauseating vocals, on top of nauseating, and rotting vocals.

Moving on to the THIRD SIN: THE PERCUSSIONS, which delves into the vast world of injecting hard-hitting drum strikes and blast beats.

In our following discussion about the band’s musical work, we will focus on the FOURTH SIN, the overall DISCUSSION of the album. Immediately, as the listener presses that play button, one is welcome to the opening piece, INTRO, which welcomes the listener with a darkened piano introduction.

Following suit with the second track, DIVINE HYPOCRISY, is the first song, following the intro track and the remaining eight pieces.

The listener continues their dark journey with the second song, DIVINE HYPOCRISY, which welcomes the listener’s ears with an introductory of dark melodic/rhythmic riffage and drum strikes – hitting that minute mark of the song, where a surge of brutalisation and complex extreme instrumental playing and insane and sick vocals all kicks in and continues until the end of the album.

THE CONSECRATORY SECRETION delivers and provides the listener’s ears with this impressive fluid mix of (weaving together) elements of brutal death metal and melodic black metal with a sinner atmosphere that’s pushed in the background – thus creating a musical spectrum that drives the barrier with the music giving the listener this excellent balance between “aggression”, “technicality”, “heavy”, “dark”, “pure headbanger” and “brutal” as hell.

THE CONSECRATORY SECRETION presents the listener with the old-school death metal of IMMOLATION, the brutal death metal of CRYPTOPSY with the melodic death black metal influences of DISSECTION and a tint of technicality of NECROPHAGIST. While each song captures various moods, tempos, and atmospheres for the whole musical piece – an extreme and brutal delight consisting of ten powerful, heavy, and brutal songs and music that is well-arranged and composed; this includes the composing and arrangement of the instrumental/vocal work, which is all delivered by incredible devilmanship, an exhibition of perfection. Another brain mosher melter and bleeder of the eardrums.

A musical spectrum that’s a perfect creation of giving the listener’s ears an instrumental and vocal art of vocals that push the elements – vocal style familiar as MALUS provides the listener with ROSS DOLAN of IMMOLATION style guttural vocals with an even more guttural brutal death metal style added to the mix and instrumental work of technical/complex, melodic/groove-laden blackened death riffage, pulsing bass riffs, severe hard-hitting drum strikes and blast beats – all wrap in a technical, complex and sinner atmosphere and soundscape.

If you’re a fan of death metal in any capacity, you won’t want to miss THE CONSECRATORY SECRETION.

I wanted to share our thoughts and MEMORABILIA on the FIFTH SIN. The pushing of the barriers of mixing brutal death and melodic black metal. Especially MALUS nauseating, on top of nauseating sick vocals.

Let’s discuss the ARTWORK of the SIXTH SIN. The artwork speaks old-school and extreme metal.

Finally, the review will close with the last sin, the SEVENTH SIN, the DISRELISH. Since there is nothing to disrelish within the musical world of APOKATASTASIS. This concludes the Apokatastasis – The Consecratory Secretion Review.
