The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion:

Takes the listener on a journey about the Extinction Brigade…

As soon as the play button is pressed, two tracks greet the listener. The first track is an original song, Extinction Brigade, composed exclusively for this release.
The second track is a cover of Fire, at first written by Arthur Brown, but reimagined and performed uniquely and captivatingly, showcasing the artist’s talent and creativity. Both tracks are sure to captivate the listener and leave them wanting more.

I want to bring up the cover song Fire that I find exceptional and entertaining. As someone with mixed feelings about cover songs, I can confidently say this cover version is a fruit of art. What sets it apart is that it maintains the original opening intro, which effectively puts an authentic and edgy tone throughout the song. The song’s structure is also worth noting, as it effortlessly blends a raw-fast, catchy and groovy rhythm. Overall, the execution of this cover is impressive and showcases excellent skills. It’s a track I highly recommend to any music fan looking for an enjoyable listening experience.

Moving on to the opening track, Extinction Brigade takes the listener on a journey about the Extinction Brigade, which sheds light on the eponymous brigade. This is a reflection of being unwilling participants in a dystopian system that ultimately leads to the extinction of human life. The “Brigade” represents the ruling class, the so-called leaders who claim to have our best interest at heart while they continue to enforce a system that gradually kills us. Allusions to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse convey the fear of human extinction brought on by the climate crisis, nuclear war, and other factors. Although exaggerated, the lyrics are inspired by the despair that arises from living in the real-life system of American capitalism.

The listener is treated to a refreshing and unique style within the song’s musical spectrum, including Fire, a combination of varying tempos and moods, aggressive thrash and hardcore. With dense and heavy tones synonymous with doom metal and a touch of groove metal. The instrumental artistry consists of raw and straightforward thrash‘y riffs and drum work.

The shouty, hardcore punk-style vocals executed by Isaac demonstrate excellent skill. The musicians poured their hearts and souls into creating both songs, displaying a fruit of art devilmanship. The production values of both pieces add authenticity to the tracks, as they are rough, edgy, and raw. Extreme metal and hardcore punk fans must listen to both pieces, and they will leave a lasting impression on anyone who hears them.

Both songs feature a genuinely compelling, creating a unique style, as mentioned above, thus adding thrash and doom into their musical spectrum.
Overall, both songs and the band’s music are a must-listen for any extreme metal or hardcore punk fan and will leave a lasting impression on anyone who hears them.

Now the double single has come to an end. We want to give a shoutout to Pennsylvania Music, for letting us review their Double Single. Now, we’re going to wrap it up by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.
