Antena White Opera – Ouroboros Review: A Progressive Metal band from Italy. January 20th, 2020, the band independently released their latest studio album Ouroboros. Includes nine tracks divided into two acts – a journey that will accompany you to discover the infinite and the eternity that reigns over everything, which would gratify fans of Paradise Lost, Dream Theater, and Lacuna Coil.

Antena White Opera – Ouroboros Review opens and discusses the FIRST SIN: THE STRINGS/KEYS. Consists of a clean complexity/electrify progressive riffing/chord shifting playing style, which is healthy and sharp, with added orchestrated/keyboard arrangements and catchy bass lines.

Let’s talk about the SECOND SIN: THE VOCALS, which involves clean (calm/melodic) female vocals/choruses and additional male choruses.

Moving on to the THIRD SIN: THE PERCUSSIONS, which delves into the vast world of clean drum patterns with multifaceted beats and tempos.

In our following discussion about the band’s musical work, we will focus on the FOURTH SIN, the overall DISCUSSION of the album. The listener immediately presses the play button, one is welcome to the opening piece OBSIDIAN PILE OF BOULDERS, which welcomes the listener to this -Esque theatrical opening of a savage and progressive soundscape.

Following suit with the second piece DESCENT and the remaining two songs, which is a deliverance of extraordinarily composed arrangements of various sounds – that are new and fresh providing the listener with a clean, crisp and aggression sound of progressive rock and metal, that combines perfect tempos, that is not too fast or slow or surprisingly speeds up/back down (excellent) – just a nice pace, topped with complex, technical and orchestral sound and instrumental playing, along with a memorable sound of experimentation and avant-garde – that’s truly beautiful and transfixing.

Continuing with the second half of the piece ACT II (REAPER SUITE) and the opening piece LIFE EXPECTANCY, which opens with birds singing and an instrumental piano opening (beautiful, charming and peaceful).

Continuing the second piece THE GREAT WALL, welcomes the listener to the remaining three songs, whereas the whole second half is more of a soft, warm, and darkened slow atmosphere of Gothic rock/metal (but relaxing/dreamlike at the same time) while mixing a melodic/progressive riffs and various experimentation soundscapes/instrumentations-

Overall OUROBOROS provides the listener with a complicated experience from start to finish, something new and fresh, not a rushed job – and deliverance of solid devilmanship and nine well-written songs – that are breathtaking composed, as well as the music (filled with creativity)

I wanted to share our thoughts and MEMORABILIA on the FIFTH SIN. The whole full-length, the vocals and the music are to die for.

Let’s discuss the ARTWORK of the SIXTH SIN. Is somewhat similar to DREAM THEATER‘s band logo, but the band’s initials are AWO, and the O is the Omega symbol.

Finally, closing the review with the last sin, the SEVENTH SIN, the DISRELISH. With nothing to disrelish within the musical world of  ANTENA WHITE OPERA. This concludes the Antena White Opera – Ouroboros review.
