Arallu – The War on the Wailing Wall Review

Arallu – The War on the Wailing War Review: A Unholy Black/Middle-Eastern Black/Death Metal band from Israel. September 22nd, 20201, saw the band rebirthing their 1999 debut studio album The War on the Wailing Wall, (“the music in general; this is not just about the music, but the band themselves & their homeland struggles”).

Arallu – The War on the Wailing War Review opens and discusses the FIRST SIN: THE STRINGS/KEYS. Which consists of an extreme-fule driven-bone-crushing, brutal, primitive bloodshed of blackened shredding of the axe with a tint of down-tuned death metal, with a nice thrashy vibe, with ravaging pickings of the bass

Let’s talk about the SECOND SIN: THE VOCALS, which involves harsh, cold (full of life) vocals

Moving on to the THIRD SIN: THE PERCUSSIONS, which delves into the vast world of hampered by a drum machine of incessant beats and aural battering.

In our following discussion about the band’s musical work, we will focus on the FOURTH SIN, the overall DISCUSSION of the album. In the Rebirth of the album, the demons from Jerusalem who have unleashed their powerful, bone-crushing piece of Middle Eastern black metal again will finally be given the wax treatment they deserve. Israeli band “Arallu” was published in 1999 with the classic Middle Eastern atmosphere debut album THE WAR ON THE WAILING WALL. After over 20 years, he finally returned with a massive new vinyl mastering by Patrick. W Engel at “Temple of Disharmony”, 180 G Flame-coloured vinyl, 350gsm cover Black and White flood print inside.

Immediately after the listener presses the play button, the album opens with the title track, ARALLU’S WARRIORS, giving us a few moments of silence, then jumps straight into burning fiery pits of hell, screaming HELL AWAITS, the anthem.

The listener is welcome to the second track, SWORD OF DEATH, and the remaining ten tracks, where the band takes the listener on a journey about the band’s homeland struggles: “deep of Arallu home of Jerusalem and all around the Middle East as bringing the line of anti-religion and terror attacks, and the problematic situation around the Middle East conflict. Although Arallu is not a political band, the band keeps describing the situation around the old city of Jerusalem and the three main religions conflict through the lyrics.”

ARALLU provides the listener not just raw or unholy black metal – but mixes an oriental, thrashy, and primitive/barbaric vibe while adding a carnage and brutal extreme Middle Eastern anthem with the additional sound fx/soundscapes that genuinely captures the sound and mood of each eleven songs and theme of the lyrics.

At the same time, the listener will find that the band’s music presents an intelligent, genuinely captivating aspect throughout the piece. The monochromatic style in which it is presented adds depth and complexity to the overall sound. The band’s ability to convey a unique essence through their music is a testament to their skill and creativity. Each note, each chord, and each lyric is carefully crafted to create a cohesive and stunning piece of art.

This is not just extreme or black metal at its best; this is Middle Eastern raw black metal at its best.

I wanted to share our thoughts and MEMORABILIA on the FIFTH SIN. This is not just extreme or black metal at its best; this is Middle Eastern raw black metal at its best.

Let’s discuss the ARTWORK of the SIXTH SIN. Fits the album and the band’s music well. It looks like the gates to the underworld in Mesopotamian mythology (In Mesopotamian mythology, “Arallu” is the underworld kingdom ruled by the goddess Ereshkigal and the god Nergal, where the dead are judged)

Finally, the review will close with the last sin, the SEVENTH SIN, the DISRELISH, and the closing piece, KILL THE TRAITOR. With nothing to disrelish within the musical world of  ARALLU, we can move on with the closing piece, KILL THE TRAITOR, which takes the listener to a full-on barbaric IRON MAIDEN stylistic riffing song – the last few minutes of the music is left to be a witness for yourself. This concludes the Arallu – The War on the Wailing War Review.

If not already, why don’t the reader check out other ARALLU reviews (studio albums) DESERT BATTLES DEATH COVENANT, EN OLAM, and their latest single, SATANIC SPIRIT
