The First Three Sins of Trepidation
Let’s start by discussing the first three sins of Charon Kruk and their album, Trepidation
The First Sin, The Strings/Keys: Consisting of dark primitive and dissonance riffage. The Second Sin, The Vocals: Involves raw demonic and unholy vocals.. The Third Sin—The Percussions: Delves into the vast world of hell-fire drum fills and beats (ritualism/incantation beats).
The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion:
Dark and evil possessed music… with a psychopomp/trepidation feeling…
Immediately, the listener presses the play button, where one is welcomed to the opening piece, Fatuo, which welcomes the listener with a dark introductory soundscape of ritualistic chants and chimes.
As one continues with the last remaining pieces, Abaddon, When the World Trembles in Fear and Echoes of Transcendence. Where this black experimental death metal act, comes with an overall warning of not playing this dark message of death (your most dreadful nightmare) art with the lights off nor alone.
As I listen to the music, inking the review—simultaneously being possessed by the dark and evil soundscape/atmosphere and music, there are moments of this psychopomp/trepidation fruit, where the experimentation comes into play with the sound. At the same time, the composing of music and instrumental/vocal artistry, which is all carved and crafted by this fruit of art devilmanship. Which consists of primitive/dissonance riffage, hell-fire (ritualism/incantation beats) drum fills and beats, topped with raw and demonic/unholy vocals, that sounds like the lyrics are being devoured.
The production quality of the EP is unrefined, evoking the sensation of having been recorded in the depths of the bowels of hell. The musical range is once more enveloped in a psychopomp and trepidation ambiance, characterized by its rawness and a thematic focus on mortality, effectively conveying the essence of the music.
Charon Kruk’s album, Trepidation, may be short, yet it delivers an overwhelming sense of dread that lingers long after the final note. Each track immerses the listener in a chilling experience, akin to wandering through the dark corridors of one’s own fears, where the shadows seem to whisper secrets of the unknown. The essence of Trepidation is a haunting exploration of the subconscious, where every sound evokes a visceral reaction. Charon Kruk skillfully crafts an atmosphere that feels both intimate and unsettling, inviting you to confront the nightmares that dwell within, making the brief journey through this album a profoundly unsettling yet captivating experience.
The album concludes with the final track, Echoes of Transcendence. We want to give a shoutout to Charon Kruk for letting us review their album, Trepidation. Now, we are going to conclude the review by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.

The Fifth Sin, The Memorabilia:
While enjoying the dark and possessed sound and music. This forbidden fruit art psychopomp/trepidation atmosphere is truly raw, dark, and literally a nightmare.
The Sixth Sin, The Artwork:
f this is what I think it is? A dead crow? Symbolically, crows have commonly been a symbol of death and the transformational process from the physical to the spiritual world. This fits the music, the feel of the music, and the lyrics
