The First Three Sins of Exitio Mortem
Let’s start by discussing the first three sins of Darkdruid and their album, Exitio Mortem
The First Sin, The Strings/Keys: Consists of -yet technical and aggressive -but a heavy distortion of driven riffage. The Second Sin, The Vocals: Involves sick-brutal growls. The Third Sin—The Percussions: Delves into the vast world of various tempos, fills, strikes, and beats.
The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion:
“dark & heavy…” sick, brutal, extreme, & raw music…
As soon the listener immediately presses that play button, one is welcomed to the opening piece Mauled, where the listener is welcomed to an introductory instrumental of doom-driven guitars and drums and deep guttural vocals.
Continuing with the second piece, Devoured Whole, and the four remaining tracks, one will find that these dark druids will drag the listener down into the deepest and darkest parts of their musical domain – and within those domain walls, the listener’s ears will encounter a thick slice of extreme metal that will devour the listener whole. Simultaneously, will melt the brain and put the listener’s ears and soul in a sarcophagus.
These dark druids provide the listener’s ears with “dark and heavy” extreme and raw music that’s influenced by acts such as Autopsy, while adding elements of brutal death, old-school death metal and the slow-heavy depressive atmosphere of doom metal -all wrapped in production and soundscape that’s rotten and raw as hell. At the same time, Exitio Mortem feels like it was recorded in a dungeon filled with torture devices and rotting corpses.
The entire music is evil and raw, provided and delivered by excellent devilmanship consisting of instrumental and vocal work of guitar artistry that’s -yet technical and aggressive -but a heavy distortion of driven riffage, heavy-drum strikes and beats, and sick-brutal growls.
The album concludes with the final track, Jellied Remains. We want to give a shoutout to Pennsylvania Music Fan PR for letting us review Darkdruid and their album Exitio Mortem. Now, we are going to conclude the review by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.
The Last Three Sins
Let’s discuss the last three sins of Darkdruid and their album, Exitio Mortem
The Fifth Sin, The Memorabilia:
Exitio Mortem is a perfect creation of six outstanding death-doom tracks that are short but well-arranged and composed. Again, in my opinion, what else is there to say -yes, the duration is short, along with the six short tracks, but the music is sick, brutal, evil, and heavy as hell!
The Sixth Sin, The Artwork:
The artwork is cartoonish, old-school, sick and brutal – suits the music.
The Seventh Sin, Disrelish:
Nothing to disrelish within the musical spectrum of Darkdruid and their album, Exitio Mortem. Therefore, this concludes Darkdruid and their album, Exitio Mortem review.
