The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion: A strong & evocative music that is filled with a dreary, dark, grey or black sound.

As soon as you hit that play button, you will be greeted with a three-piece EP that is inspired by the literary Picnic At Hanging Rock, written by Joan Lindsay.

The EP features three songs, each crafted to take you on a journey of mystery, intrigue, and suspense, where the music and lyrics are flawlessly woven together to create a seamless experience.

The opening song, In The Colorless Twilight, tells the story of the disappeared girls at Hanging Rock, the second piece, Elusive Grace, tells the story of Michael and his restless dreams, and track three is an instrumental outro piece.

No Answering Voice is a fruit of art that speaks for itself. It is a captivating piece crafted with great attention to detail, from the devilmanship to the composition of the music/instrumental arrangement that is scored ideally.

The instrumentals are (again) well composed with intricate riffs that are structured to perfection, consisting of dark-progressive passages and melancholy melodies that perfectly reflect the mood of the music. The drum work is equally impressive, being a drum program that consists of a range of beats, fills, and dark patterns that add to the overall intensity of the piece; then, we have the extra layer of darkness and intensity to the music from the slow, deep death growls.

Derelicted‘s album is a remarkable display of musical artistry that can be described as an emotional and sophisticated fruit of art. The music captures the essence of My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, and Katatonia, blending their unique styles into a sound that is uniquely his own.

Fans of these bands mentioned above will be mesmerized by Derelicted‘s consistently strong and evocative music that is filled with a dreary, grey or black, slow-doom tempo, deathened, doom-goth-like, dreamy and dark atmospheric musical spectrum/sound. This is characteristic of his musical style. The album is a testament to the artist’s skill and talent, showcasing his ability to create captivating and emotionally powerful music.

Yes, the release only features three songs. However, the first track is over six minutes long, and the second track is over seven minutes long. Impressive is how well the album is put together — the devilmanship is evident. None of the songs sound the same or are repetitive or dull.”

Overall, it is clear that No Answering Voice has been crafted with great care and skill (two and half years to make), resulting in a truly mesmerizing and haunting musical experience.

The album comes to an end with the last song, Farewell Miranda. Which welcomes the listener to a sorrowful and moving melody and leaves a lasting impression that reminds us of the beauty that can be found in even the saddest moments.

We want to give a shoutout to Derelicted for letting us review his No Answering Voice album. Now, we’re going to wrap it up by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.
