The First Sin, The Strings/Keys: Features classical complex/technically Labyrinthian composing of Beethoven of various tones, tempos, epic-heaviness, hard-bluesy rhythms, powerful multi-cord (complex) passages, fret-board shredding-guitar hero solos prog-blues of Rush. The Second Sin, The Vocals: Involves various tones and ranges to bring the songs alive. The Third Sin—The Percussions: Delves into the vast world of various drum patterns and majestic beats and fills that drive the music forward.
The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion: Shredding of the strings, that soars like a fire-blazing dragon in flight
Immediately, the listener presses the play button, where the listener is welcomed to the opening piece, I Am Your Darkness, which welcomes the listener to an introduction of the instruments that open like a bursting flame…. Opening the listener’s ears with progressive, complex guitar shredding and powerful, operatic vocals.
As one continues their journey with the second piece, Wings Of Fire, and the remaining eight tracks, the music takes the listener’s ears on this epic and magical journey. As if the music is taking the listener on this epic quest of slaying a Lindwyrm, in a hellish-fiery pit and the only weapon Luis Maldonalle has, his guitar with enhanced enchanting magical shredding power…
Continuing with the review and the rest of the remaining album—as I’m soaking in the music, banging my head and foot-pumping the floor, and inking the review, I feel that Furia delivers something new and different -thinking out of the box -yet grand and epic -hard n’ rhythmic, a powerful, complex release -where this guitar wizard delivers and provides the listener with this well-crafted release, topped with (simultaneously) production and musical/instrumental score, ten songs (again) epic and ink with professionalism.
Each song doesn’t sound the same, each having its own identity and sound, that is neither dull nor repetitive.
At the same time, Fuira is composed and scored with incredible devilmanship that consists of a musical composition of various tones, characteristics, moods, tempos, and atmospheres
Which utilises instrumental/vocal composition scores (which are conveniently placed at the right moment) of drum work consisting of epic drum strikes/fills and beats. The vocals consist of various tones and ranges, powerful-operatic vocals with the moments of blink and missed (brief) moments of hearing Rob Halford screams, and classic rock vocals of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy.
Moving on with the last part of the review is the discussion about the guitar playing (where do I begin) -the first thing is—what the guitar captures both in sound, tones, moods, atmosphere, and Luis Maldonalle’s elements/influences before. All this can also be heard within the walls of the music, the drum/bass and vocal work -but the guitar adds this extra wall of sound. At the same time, Luis Maldonalle‘s guitar playing has this complexity-shred of Yngwie Malmsteen with a flavouring of 80s melodic power metal chords/riffage of Helloween or Hammerfall. Topped off with some Steve Vai and various other guitar heroes within the mix.
