The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion:

A complex musical score (-but ain’t)… epic, dark & beautiful

Immediately after the listener presses that play button, the listener is immediately immersed by the serene opening piece, Spev I. The warm, kindling atmospheric keys create a soothing ambience that engulfs the listener, transporting them to a different world altogether. The keys are intricately woven to create a calming and uplifting melody, making it the perfect piece to unwind after a long day.

As you delve deeper into the second piece of the journey, Spev II, and progress through the subsequent six pieces, you will embark on a fascinating concept journey. This explores the mythical figure of Semargla or Ognebog — a supreme deity in Slavic mythology. According to legend, Semargla is the guardian of eternal fire and presides over all the rites associated with fire. He is also believed to patronise the heavenly serpent’s hall in the Welding Circle.

Semargla is the firstborn son of the supreme god, Svarog, and is revered as the patron of the moon and other spheres connected to fire.
When comparing the body of work by Ris, I presently reviewed, I have noticed that Ris has consistently delivered exceptional and remarkable musical compositions and fruit of art that evoke a sense of mysticism and darkness. Ris possesses an excellent talent for devilmanship, which is evident in his ability to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also haunting, which makes for a unique listening experience.

In particular, his latest release, Forged In Fire Of Ognebog, follows the same pattern as his previous demo, Return Of The Dragon Warrior. Although the composition comprises only a keyboard, Ris has used varied tones and moods within the keys’ walls to capture the musical theme’s essence.
At the same time, the soundscape is mesmerizing and captivating, drawing one in with enchanting keys. The beauty of each piece lies in its uniqueness, with no two sounding alike.

Yet, they come together seamlessly and intricately, creating a musical fruit of art that sounds complex (-but ain’t) and epic -yet dark and beautiful, ultimately compelling experience.

The album comes to an end with the last song, Spev VIII. We want to give a shoutout to Ris for letting us review his Forged in Fire of Ognebog album. Now, we’re going to wrap it up by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.

The Fifth Sin, The Memorabilia:

For us, Ris‘s music is a testament to his exceptional devilmanship, compositions, creativity, and prowess and will surely leave a lasting impression on anyone who listens to it. “The simplicity of this composition is surprisingly effective.”

The Sixth Sin, The Artwork:

The painting was painted by Andrey Alekseyevich Shiskin (Russian: Андрей Алексеевич Шишкин; born 1960) a Russian painter. His works are among the most prominent examples of the modern Russian “pagan art” scene related to the Slavic Native Faith in Russia.

The Seventh Sin, Disrelish:

Nothing to disrelish within the musical spectrum of Ris and his album, Iskovano u vatri Ognjeboga. Therefore, this concludes Ris and his album, Iskovano u vatri Ognjeboga review.
