The First Three Sins of Dreams Of The Moon
Let’s start by discussing the first three sins of DTS Overdrive and his Dreams Of The Moon album.
The First Sin, The Strings/Keys: Consists of omitting the guitar and bass and replacing them with synth keys/Moog synth. The Second Sin, The Vocals: Which involves an instrumentation atmosphere created by omitting the vocals. The Third Sin—The Percussions: Which delves into the vast world of omitting the drums.
The Fourth Sin: Overall Discussion: Taking us on individual journeys of our imagination, with the same music
As soon as the listener presses the play button, the listener is greeted with the opening piece Vortex, which welcomes the listener with this epic synth washed with a hint of chip-tune dungeon synth. This 80s Terminator, and the Running Man film score.
As one continues their journey with the second piece, Dreams Of The Moon, and the remaining seven pieces, the music takes the listener on this journey. The listeners can expect an experience that will fuel their imagination of their own to conjure dreamlike images of distant worlds in ancient galaxies billions of light-years from home. Inspired by 20th and 21st-century science fiction such as Doctor Who, Dune, Stargate Universe, and Star Wars.
DTS OVERDRIVE is the brainchild of the black metal solo act Dinenthal and the guitarist/bass player of the death metal act Acherontia Styx. This fruit art mind is the fruit of the avant-garde mind that goes far beyond the imagination of creating music without limits and boundaries.
DTS Overdrive has crafted a genuinely captivating fruit of art with his latest release, Dreams Of The Moons. This instrumental score is a mesmerizing composition of calming and enchanting sounds. The hypnotic music draws listeners in and transports them to their own world.
The composition consists of a Moog sequence and epic synth washes, combined with additional sound effects, classic warm analogue arpeggios, dreamlike soundscapes, and beautiful synths that create a multi-layered and immersive experience. The listener journeys through various emotions and sensations, with each song offering a unique sound, atmosphere, and composition.
The result is a truly unforgettable listening experience that leaves a lasting impression.
As we delved deeper into the music, my sinful partner and I were struck by the unique experience we were having. We heard something different, even though we were listening to the same music. It was as if the music was taking us on individual journeys of our imagination. The beauty of this out-of-the-world experience was that we were simultaneously experiencing something different. This is why I genuinely appreciate Paul’s work. His music perfectly reflects his passion, dedication, and deep connection to the bands and artists he loves. He puts his heart and soul into creating the fruit of art music.
If you, the listener, love dungeon synth, electronic music, Berlin School (electro) music, analogue sounds of the 1970s and 1980s, science fiction, and something different that is memorisation, tranquillity, and beauty. And have a deep connection to music and a love of science fiction.
The album comes to an end with the last song, Cloudburst. Now, we’re going to wrap it up by talking about the final three sins and concluding the review.

PlayThe Last Three Sins
Let’s discuss the last three sins, our thoughts on DTS Overdrive and his Dreams Of The Moon album.
The Fifth Sin, The Memorabilia: Is that for us, DTS Overdrive, has the same musical tendency as Serbia composer Ris, of creating music with only a synth, making a musical fruit of art that sounds complex -but ain’t. Overall, what can I say about Dreams Of The Moon? As always, I was speechless and overwhelmed with Paul‘s devilmanship and musical ability to create beautiful and compelling fruit of art using only synths.
The Sixth Sin, The Artwork:
The artwork is ideally suited to the music and title of the songs. Additionally, I can’t help, but I get this “The Time Machine” vibe, by H.G. Wells. At the same time, tracks five, six, and seven as the same vibe.
“It feels like a glimpse into a future where the moon comes crashing towards Earth.”
The Seventh Sin, Disrelish:
Nothing to disrelish within the musical spectrum of DTS Overdrive, and his album Dreams Of The Moon.
This concludes the DTS Overdrive, Dreams Of The Moon.
